You Didn’t Come This Far, Only to Come This Far

2016 is almost over, only 3 weeks left. Can you believe it? Did you accomplish all your goals for this year? If not, did you get close? As we head into the holidays it’s normal to find less time for the gym; many folks just completely quit going, figuring they will start back up next year. But you didn’t come this far to only come this far did you?

The truth about fitness is that even when you do reach your goal, you have to keep working to maintain it. It’s not a project that you can start, finish and place on a mantle to admire. Fitness is the product of continuous work; taking breaks and recovering if needed, but never completely stopping. If you stop training for too long it goes away.
As you enjoy more time in the next few weeks with family, friends, food and travel don’t get completely derailed from your fitness journey. Stay with it even if it's a bit less often. You’ve come way too far and worked way too hard to have to start all over again!

Layn Chess

With a decade of training in "All things Fitness" Layn Chess has competed in competitions from bodybuilding, ultra-running, and even Ironman triathlons. On top of obtaining his NASM CPT, he furthered his experience with certifications including FMS, MobWOD, StrongFirst Kettlebell SFG1, CrossFit L1, and USAW L1. He's worked with clients ranging from athletes to those with injuries, people trying to learn better technique to those just wanting to be healthy for a lifetime. Layn currently focuses on educating the community through social media and blogging.
