The basis of my mission in the fitness field is to build a trusting relationship with each of my clients, concentrating on the “why” as much as "what" their fitness goals are.  Everyone’s goals are unique and personal to them.  If we can determine the “why” we can better understand what we need to do to help you with the “what”.  It’s the “why” that motivates a person to work towards the “what”.

For almost 20 years I have been helping people become more fit and healthy. Over the last 10 years my scope has expanded to improving the overall quality of life for my clients.  This includes fitness, flexibility, nutrition, stress relief and overall helping them to make positive changes to their lifestyle.  Getting healthy and happy generally requires people to make some significant changes in their lives.  I believe by making incremental changes over time, we can work together to insure that you, not only reach your “what”, and succeed in the "why", but help make sure the change is a permanent one.  I believe it is important that we commit to a plan and work together to do everything possible to help make sure you are successful!

I am an ACE certified personal trainer with advanced training in Special Populations and Nutrition.  From my years of experience in general fitness to post-rehab for injuries, including hip and knee replacements, I have gained the knowledge and expertise to work with a broad base of clientele. Personally, being the recipient of bi-lateral knee replacements myself, I have the first-hand understanding of the challenges present with joint replacement recovery.

I've chosen to specialize in training “more mature” clients, those over 50 years young, whether they are already active or just beginning their journey to a healthier, more active lifestyle.  Whether you’re 50 or 90 years young it is never too late to start living a healthier and more vibrant life. You can be younger next year!

All my clients undergo a detailed assessment to determine current physical condition and to detect any muscular imbalances or limitations. Once we determine the “what” and the “why”, we work together to develop a program that meets those needs and make adjustments as needed.  After all, the only thing constant in life is change! Utilizing dynamic functional training, the goal is to improve your overall fitness and mobility. This helps assure that you will be ready for whatever life throws at you!

Why am I personal trainer? I enjoy meeting new people and building new relationships. Working together with each of my clients, teaching them the how and the why, and sharing in their successes is my reward.
