Jeraldine Ollervides Chess

Fitness was not always part of her life. She grew up naturally thick, with fuller hips and thicker legs than most girls her age, and the pressure to be thin pushed her into years of running every morning and severely under-eating. She lost the weight. She did not gain the confidence.

What changed her mind was learning that confidence comes from getting stronger and healthier, not from the number on the scale. She stopped fighting her genetics.

She started coaching independently in 2014 with a focus on women, teaching classes in parks and training clients in warehouse gyms, and built a following of Latina women in Houston. Before social media was standard practice for coaches, she had grown an audience of more than 40,000 and built her own content, app, and coaching systems. She founded Fierce Curves Fitness, and she teaches Nutrition for Longevity as La Professora.

Layn Chess

In 2006 a serious injury changed the direction of his life. Working his way back through resistance training and corrective movement is where he found the work he has done ever since.

He opened the first Facet Seven location on January 1, 2012. It drew more than 400 members in five months and outgrew its 5,000 square foot studio, which forced a move into a 20,000 square foot facility that served as the flagship for the next ten years. EaDo followed in 2018. In June 2022 he bought out his original partner, and on December 19, 2022 he moved the Heights gym to its current home on West 11th Street.

He built the Human Operating System, the FitnessEQ assessment, the Holy Trifecta class structure, and LongevityME. He proposed to Jeraldine on the roof of the gym.

The Human Operating System

Six facets. One seventh.

FACETS is an acronym. Practice all six and you reach the seventh: complete fitness that lasts a lifetime. That is where the name comes from, and it is the operating system every program here runs on.

Complete fitness that lasts a lifetime.

Measure

FitnessEQ

An assessment that scores each of the six facets from 1 to 7, so you can see where you actually stand instead of guessing. It is the starting point and the way progress gets tracked.

Train

The Holy Trifecta

StrengthCON SEVEN, HIIT SEVEN, and Yoga SEVEN, redesigned every season in 12 week blocks so the three programs support one another instead of competing. Strength without losing mobility. Endurance without sacrificing recovery.

Sustain

LongevityME

The customized tier. Coaching, testing, and programming built around your FitnessEQ scores and the season of life you are in.
